The Salty Sea Dogs hit the Southern Suburb Schools!

We’ve just finished up a fabulous week in Cape Town with our school visits!
After a quick trip to Zimbabwe we hit the ground running, with Sandi in tow, by visiting 9 schools over the past week.
We love being able to chat to as many leaners as possible, sharing our love and passion for the ocean and its incredible creatures, all through the eyes of the Salty Sea Dogs.
Our school talks are not just about the Salty Sea Dog book, but we also go behind the scenes to hear more about the dogs themselves. Using readings from the book, exciting photographs and unique videos of the dogs at sea, we also go on a journey into False Bay to hear a little more about the amazing animals that make up the False Bay ecosystem.
Thank you to all the schools that hosted us this last week, and to the learners for having so much fun hearing more about our ocean and marine wildlife! We loved your many interesting questions by the way!

Thank you to Penguin Random House for the fantastic organizing, and a big shout out to the great work being done by The Open Book Festival. Thank you for the opportunities you are creating for both leaners and local authors.
We are already looking forward to our next visits …
